The Backup Auxiliary Communications Network was created by first responders with Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services to give Disaster Communication team members a chance to connect, share ideas, sharpen skills, and enjoy some off-the-clock camaraderie.
What is BACN?
A club built for connection, readiness, and radio fellowship.
BACN brings together licensed amateur radio operators, first responders, and communications-minded volunteers who want to stay active, stay sharp, and stay connected.

Nets and meetings help operators keep their skills current and build confidence with radio procedure before the pressure is on.

BACN holds nets twice a month.
All licensed amateur radio operators are invited to check in using the KG5DPK repeater located on Shinall Mountain in West Little Rock.
